theese pictures are the first shots of what might develop into a series documenting aspects of the esspressobar culture in oslo. or maybe its just as much about little details that draw my attention, and hence a kind of a self portrait.

espresso junction

Java is an espressobar in Oslo, Norway, run by the first guy to win the barista world championship. He is also an architect, and has done the interior himself. I stopped by there one day to do a few testshots with a new lens i had bought. Having worked for its sister cafe, Mocca, some years back, I already new the place well - as well as the clientele and the culture it represented. I quite enjoied observing it through the lens, and now consider going back to develop a series. Heres the first samples.

I was back - for late breakfast, a coffe, and some shooting - two new draft pictures are posted. Now Im thinking: maybe if the result after some more nice coffe is ok, I could leave a small book with the pictures there after a while - as a little "promo" thing (as theres a lot of people who come there that do things it could be interesting to shoot).
